Are you going to retire soon?  I want to contract with your company and know I can entrust my practice to you but what if you retire, what happens if you are not at the helm?  I am worried about that scenario?

Thank you, but I actually don’t do any billing myself.  I don’t even know how to turn on the system we operate.  The success of my companies is based on the fact that I have quality managers and assistant managers, and highly trained staff.

Risa Kanavas, General Manager of my California operation, has been with me since day one.  This year (July) marks her 10th anniversary with West Coast Derm Billers.  Her Assistant General Manager, Nikki Hernandez, has also been with West Coast since 1997.  She also celebrates her 10-year anniversary in July as well.

Jessica Bitterling, General Manager of our Florida billing service, celebrated her 10th anniversary with Dermatology Billing Associates earlier this year and her Assistant General Manager, Robin Brown, is nearing her five year mark August 2007.

We also have many department supervisors that have been with our companies for many years.  Roy Day will mark his 10-year anniversary March of 2008 as well six other employees. 

I provide leadership and guidance to my staff and I expect to do so for many years to come.  I cannot see myself sitting at home watching Oprah!  Even if I travel more in the future, I can provide the support my staff needs via e-mail, fax, phone, FedEx.  I do not expect to retire from my hands-on involvement with the companies for a very long time.

But be assured, that the quality billing my clients receive, is the direct result of my long- term, loyal, intelligent, hard-working, professional, dependable and talented management and their staff!

I’m just the icing on the cake.
